Community Integration

At LS Genesis, supporting residents connect to local communities they contribute unique gifts to is what fuels our passionate programming team. We facilitate engaging workshops, accessible volunteer placements, educational events on site and community outings so residents can experience firsthand the sense of purpose and belonging inclusion brings. From revitalising yoga sessions, art classes exploring self-identity to beach trips practicing social cues in crowds to lectures demystifying autism for further acceptance– our interactive workshops nurture personal well-being and inter-resident bonds. Our team vets and accompanies interested candidates to fulfilling volunteer opportunities at animal shelters, gardens, libraries enabling residents to sustainably share their talents. For those with past isolation clinging, we gently encourage attending free public festivals, stores, or eateries in groups–building courage navigating overwhelming stimuli and unpredictable conversations. With expanding exposure through our immersive curriculum, residents realize consciousness shifts. Those once avoided as “other” become neighbors; “can’t” becomes “I’ll try” revealing their resilient spirit.
